After spending more than 30 years combined in woodwork and furniture manufacturing, Candelario "Candy" Eliserio and Shilpa Amaram realized that many customers did not know who to call for problems once their projects were manufactured and installed.
Candy spent more than 20 years in the industry and gained a deep understanding of premium millwork manufacturing while leading operations for one of the country's premier millworkers for almost a decade. With her background in furniture manufacturing and an MBA from Rice University, Shilpa joined the Leadership Team of the same manufacturer to lead strategy. Candy and Shilpa now bring their expertise and experience directly to customers through Modern Wood Services.

All houses that are built by Imperial Builders, LLC, are original designs by architects or based on house plans that the client wishes to replicate. If the client does not currently have an architect or plans, owner Roger Steinke, contacts well-qualified architects. He believes that engineering is a key component of the building process, and that a benefit to working with a familiar architect is that he as the builder understands the architect’s style and how the architect engineers his/her houses.
Projects are limited to two or three at a time so that Roger can be involved in every building detail. By utilizing his 30+ years of experience, his creativity and his dedication to building an honest rapport with each homeowner, Roger said his clients know that they will receive a prompt response to their questions and concerns. The WM started as a fascinating synchrodestiny story in 2018 when designers Wilbanks and Mackay met at an industry event and connected over fashion. From there, a year passed while Wilbanks began working with a business coach, and Mackay attended a business conference where both were encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones, get very clear about their desires for their future business, and put all of these things down on a vision board down to the last detail. Mackay reached out to Wilbanks, recognizing a shared passion for modern design that seduces the senses and creates the best life for clients. Unbeknownst to her, Wilbanks had already created the exact same model. The two immediately created a “married in Vegas” feeling business partnership, and the rest is history.
