Jessicah Kolter, NCIDQ Licensed, graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She began her career in interior design sales, where she built a strong foundation in understanding the importance of a strong client/designer relationship. Jessicah takes pride in her ability to connect with clients, decipher their needs, and produce stunning spaces that exceed expectations. After spending a few years in commercial architecture, Jessicah worked on a vast array of projects, including retail establishments, government facilities, and office spaces. The knowledge she gained was invaluable. She has extensive experience preparing full construction documents for large-scale projects and has a strong understanding of local and international building codes. While working full-time, Jessicah took the NCIDQ exam and received her certification as a licensed interior designer under the requirements set by the Council for Interior Design Qualification. Currently, Jessicah focuses primarily on residential interior design, specializing in new builds and interior renovation projects. She finds great passion in guiding clients to create stunning homes that offer both beautiful aesthetics and functionality for their day-to-day lives. In 2004, owners Hank and Amy White purchased Hallmark Kitchens, a cabinet distributor and kitchen design and remodeling studio in Houston, Texas. As their business grew, White's clients were so pleased with his professionalism and his work that they started calling him for all of their remodeling, home additions, and building projects. In 2007, the company changed its name to Hallmark Renovation & Custom Homes to better reflect its growing business. Today, new custom homes, home additions, and full scale remodeling projects have become the primary focus of the company. Hank has a talent for spatial design, and building. In 2007, during the economic downturn, two of the partners of SGB were building homes for a production builder in suburbs of Houston. Due to the uncertainty in the market at the time, and the desire to build more architect/client designed homes, they made the decision to leave the production world and start something new. Focused mainly on small jobs and insurance repairs from a recent hurricane, SGB began building its processes and procedures as well as its portfolio as a reputable builder in the Houston area. After a purchase and flip of a 1920’s bungalow in the historic district of the Houston Heights, larger projects began to make their way to SGB and they spent the next several years executing large addition/remodel and new construction projects in and out of the historic districts of the Heights. These projects created awareness about SGB and their abilities to perform on residential construction projects unlike any other in the city.
