As the daughter of an architect, Diana lived with and around good design from an early age. The cultural arts were revered in her family, thus sprung a love and desire to be surrounded by beautiful things and creating spaces for them.
After acquiring an Interior Design degree from the University of Texas, Diana worked for Index, the design firm, designing mainly hotel interiors for over eight years. Soon after and with baby in tow, she began working on homes for her own clients part-time.

The WM started as a fascinating synchrodestiny story in 2018 when designers Wilbanks and Mackay met at an industry event and connected over fashion. From there, a year passed while Wilbanks began working with a business coach, and Mackay attended a business conference where both were encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones, get very clear about their desires for their future business, and put all of these things down on a vision board down to the last detail. Mackay reached out to Wilbanks, recognizing a shared passion for modern design that seduces the senses and creates the best life for clients.
